Ok Ladies,

Here is the book and the house for the next six months.

July 2010- Eclipse (the movie) and dinner, Priscilla to coordinate. Book: "The Art of Running in the Rain"

Aug 2010- Kelly's house, Book: "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."

Sept 2010-Mindy's house, Book: "The Joy of Simple Living." There is more than one book with the title, we are looking for Jeff Davidson's book.

Oct 2010- Priscilla's house, Book: "Davita's Harp."

Nov 2010- Aimee's house, Book: "The Help."

Dec 2010- Brandie's house, Book: "Wishin and Hopin" by Wally Lamb. Its a short one and Kel Kel has promised that it will be an easy read for such a busy month.

Yea! What would I do without book club? You girls are awesome!

Change for May

Glory will be hosting book club in May.

The book is actually a short series of stories called The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I love a good mystery. Hopefully Glory will be somewhat settled before book club arrives or we may have a unpacking party before book club.

Her new house is right across the street from Marilee's house. See you all there.

Jan - June 2010 plus comments

January- P to the illa, Ladies #1 detective agency. Love this book. The character kind of reminds me of a smarter version of Amelia Bedilia.

February- Jamie, The Road. Another great book but much more somber. You might need a box of Kleenex handy.

March-Jeanette, Firefly Lane. Great friend story. Seems like a long book but it is really quite a fast read.

April- Chris, The Benedict Society. Sorry can't comment, haven't read this one. Chris is on the second one though and she says their great.

May- Becky, The Hobbit. I know this is a classic and a great book. Not really my style of reading so I can't tell you much about it. Although I think it is a prequel to Lord of the Rings (you probably already knew that)

June- Laura, Hunger Games. Best book on the list (in my humble opinion). I have already read the first two and can't wait for the last book to come out. Maybe next Christmas this will be in movie theaters and we can annoy more people with our quit wits, fun humor, and totally necessary comments.

Monica and Jen have traded hosting bookclub....Jen will be in August and Monica in December.
Thanks Natasha for an awesome night! We all laughed about our hideous school pictures from our awkward teenage years and enjoyed Tash's "ADD" layout of food! Good times, good times!
For Jen's bookclub in August try and dig up YOUR craziest school picture or whatever to share with everyone so that we may laugh ourselves into oblivion.

Oh! And the van tour of Mt.Green was pretty sweet with a dozen women and 3 babies in tow!

Most depressing book ever

Ok, who picked The Life You Longed For? It was the most depressing book I have ever read. I can't believe I made myself finish it. The one good thing was putting out to the world what a mess adultery is. (did I spell that right?)

On second thought better not tell me, I might have you black listed :)

Oh yes Edward, I will see you again very soon....hmmm...you are one delicious little vampire.
Oh! Did I say that out loud!? Ok, I can NOT wait to see Edward again (most of you have already seen the movie, only Kelly had the will power to wait...she's now my new hero!).
Let's meet at Kelly's to carpool at 6:45pm on Thursday, December 11th...we will then head over to Costa Vida by The Megaplex at The Junction in our very own downtown Ogden. The movie begins at 9:15. As of right now every single seat is open...I will keep looking at them throughout the week and if they begin to fill up I will purchase the tickets and you can pay me back that night or I will hunt you down like a vampire! Tickets are $8.00 if we purchase them there if bought online $8.75 for the service fee.
Please RSVP by Wednesday in case I need to buy them online.

Ok Girls its time to come up with some new books.

Kelly says she has a couple a good ones. I have a suggestion or two also. I like the idea of the host picking the book. I think that has been the tradition. If you would like to host or have a good book idea, lets hear it.

I am also making everyone who wants to be authors so don't forget to post. You should have an email in your email soon that gives you permission for posting.

First a disclaimer. I am on my own. Bryant works with HTML and other programs and if we switch from blogger we will lose all the previous posts. He is also super busy and this is at the bottom of his priorities so I ventured out on my own. This is what I came up with.

Let me know what you think. I kept it under the same login but I am going to send everyone an invite to be an author from their own accounts and that way it will be easier to post.

I am working on a couple of widgets that I should have up and running soon. I am going to have a slideshow of the books we have read this year. I started with A Thousand Splendid Suns so people who have been in longer than me comment on other books we have read this year and I will add them to the slide show.

Ok, I am not sure if bookies still check this blog or not but I am putting out the vibe. Bryant being the web genius he is (and me being very persuasive in nature, and by that I mean sexual) can revamp our site and make it fun. I dont mind updating it and keeping us in the loop since I am on a computer half the day anyway. I only want to take it on if everyone thinks it is a good idea and something they will commit to checking every now and then.

Let me know what you think. If no one responds I'll assume its a no-go.

We Had Fun at Brandy's. I left my phone in her couch for 2 days. Their couch began to ring one night while they were sitting down to a family meal, and they were spooked. They got to the root of the problem..and I got my phone back. Tash

March Looks like a Restaurant

Where does everyone want to go? Suggestions please. Log in to blogger.com and set up a user name and password so you can make comments and suggestions like to this question of dinner in March.
